Summary/Thoughts:
This chapter just blows my mind. After having read chapter 8 I was already in shock and this continued that feeling of shock. The police and photographers were all over the scene where Gatsby had died and after having dealt with them, Nick attempts to go speak with Daisy. He ends up going to the Buchanan house and finding no one there. No note, nothing. Having dealt with this extremely big loss, Nick wants to find close individuals who can come and pay respect to Gatsby. No one can be found that wants to do so. Then it even gets worse. A phone call is received at the household and it confirms that Gatsby was indeed involved in illegal activities. Then Nick understands that he was Gatsby's only true friend. Gatsby's father then arrives and Nick begins to understand more about Gatsby. He always was one to strive to get out of poverty and be the best he could be. The funeral then occurs and only a few show up. Isn't it ironic how so many showed up to his party but literally not a single soul to his funeral? Nick ends up coming into contact with Tom and Tom tells Nick that it was he who told Wilson that Gatsby ran over Myrtle. Nick then understands that Tom and Daisy were both just horrible people. And then it ends. Just like that.
Questions:
1. Did Tom know that Wilson was going to kill who ran over Myrtle?
2. How did Tom know it was Gatsby who owned the car?
3. Where in the world did Daisy go?
4. How does Nick move on from this? (It just hurts my head thinking about it!!)
